Lead Pastor Tim Skinner and his wife Andrea’s story:
Their story past and present: Tim and Andrea Skinner met over 22 years ago in a young adult small group hosted by Gospel Outreach Church in Florida. The pastors and church family impacted, mentored and taught them all about the power of relationships and servant leadership. They invested themselves into building people and building the vision of the church while falling madly in love with one another. Tim and Andrea have always had a heart to connect people to God, their strengths and to God’s house. They were married a year after meeting and a few years later became parents of the coolest kids ever:r: Dylan 18, Chelsea 16 and Sarah 5.
Over the years Tim decided to try out a few things; after growing up around the family business of house painting he went on to Fire College. After Tim’s 7 years as a professional Fire-fighter, the couple started their own Painting Company that did very well; they continued to give it all they had to serving in the church and loving people. Tim and Andrea joined the staff of a great church in Asheville, NC as a part of the Lead team of pastors where they remained on staff for 7 years. They attended, served and were on staff for a total of 11 years.
Tim and Andrea joined the staff of a mega church as Sr. Leaders in Metro Atlanta continuing their minisrty Adventure. This was a great opportunity to build and set up teams that were strategic, tactical, and creative, while assisting and overseeing a staff of 76 people along with the Sr. Pastors and Sr. team. While in Atlanta Tim had the opportunity to host a Live TV show and lead creative works with TV, DVD projects and media. Tim and Andrea had great experiences with this church family receiving generosity, multi-cultural church family and saw firsthand the power of giving to other works and missions outside the local church. They cordially resigned and did their business with God… realizing that it was time for Loving, Laughing, Building and Reaching people for Jesus Christ by launching Church In Motion!
